This is Cover Your Ears.
Every week i will feature covers good and bad
because its all opinion.
This week ‘Shack Up’.
Originally by Banbarra from 1975, this song affectionately displayed the growing change among adults concerning marriage. ‘Shack Up’ shows us that living out of wedlock can be sinful and fun. This song has been covered numerous times (eg Bis, Blackbuster) but these two i think are the best.
Next we have the Certain Ratio version from 1980.

EGYPTRIXX debuted his live P.A. set at Fuck Faces last weekend, and thanks to the dudes at Dubplate.fm, we got (most of) it on tape! Well, not actually on a tape but recorded anyway. As i drunkenly declared on Twitter during his set, if you didn’t show up, YOU FUCKED UP BIG-TIME!

Found this on the Nerdtorious Blog and since we have another ACTIVATOR coming up, i figured it was relevant (When is Zapp/Roger ever NOT relevant?!?)
Bay Area ace, DJ B.Cause salutes Roger and Zapp with an ultra fun mix of famous tracks, rap choruses, interludes and a healthy dose of cuts and blends. Like his other work, everything is well-selected and ironed out. This is perfect since interest in vocoders will likely peak real soon. Peep the mix, the rest of B. Cause’s work, and familiarize yourself beyond “Computer Love”.
